During the Full Annapurna Circuit Trek you follow the entire trail around the Annapurna Massif. During this major trek you will find yourself in a big variety of landscapes and stunning views. You will trek from Nepalese Hindu villages to traditional Tibetan Buddhist villages. And from a moist green jungle, to chilly high mountains. And when you cross the high mountain pass of Thorong La, you enter a windy mountain desert.
The Himalayas in general, represents the meeting point of the Tibetan Buddhist world and the Hindu culture of the Indian subcontinent. The two religions overlap and blur in Nepal. And this particularly trek is a journey between these two great faiths.
The appeal of this particular trek, is in its variety. You’ll walk from a moist green jungle, to chilly high mountains and a windy mountain desert. And from Nepalese Hindu villages to typical Tibetan Buddhist villages.
The trail starts in verdant rice paddies and climbs through the deep gorges of the Marsyangdi, before swinging west into the Manang region. This region has awesome views of the north side of the Annapurnas. From Manang, you reach the high mountain pass Thorung La (5416m). By crossing the pass you enter the mountain desert of Mustang.

This trek is THE one if you want to have the real trekking experience. In around 19 days you trek the full 300km around the entire Annapurna massif.
From Manang, you can make a beautiful side trip by trekking up to Tilicho Lake (5200m). This would extend your trek with about 3 days. Or, to keep it as a 19-days trek, you can do the Tilicho Lake Trek instead. Then you will cross Thorong La as well, but end your trek at Tatopani.
If 19 days is a bit too long, you can decide to do a part of this trek. Such as the 10-days Muktinath Trek or the 6-days Poon Hill Sunrise Trek.
